Healthy Exercise Habits for Adult Dogs


Adult dogs love variety too! Don’t be afraid to mix things up and try new things:

  • Climb indoor stairs at home – it’s perfect when it’s too cold to venture outdoors

  • Play a good old-fashioned game of fetch or Frisbee (both of you will burn some calories)

  • Create an obstacle course for both you and your dog to complete

After spending time outdoors, be sure to check your dog's coat, ears, eyes and paws for ticks and other pesky insects. Besides regular exercise, your adult dog also needs to eat healthy, nutrient-rich foods for complete and balanced nutrition.

Just like with your own healthy habits, consistency is the key when establishing a new exercise routine and diet. Keep with it and you and your dog are in for a wonderful and healthy new year together, helping to control your dog’s weight and keeping them vibrant and active.
